Knickerbocker Mansion and Estates is a rustic mountain lodge and wedding venue in the heart of Big Bear Lake. Located on a gorgeous, tree-lined two and a half acres, the property is a short walk from Big Bear Village, marinas, trails, and ski resorts.

Boasting three different lodging options, The Mansion, The Residence, and The Carriage House, our venue has nightly accommodations for up to 33 people and can host events with 75+ guests.

  • The Mansion

    The Mansion, built in 1920, features five master bedrooms and six master bathrooms. The home offers a spacious living room, a dining room that seats up to 43 guests, a playroom, a sitting room, and a large kitchen equipped with double ovens, double refrigerators, and two dishwashers. Three fireplaces add warmth and charm throughout the home.

    Outside, guests can enjoy a covered patio with a BBQ and an additional outdoor patio that seats up to 70 people.

    The highlight of the property is The Mansion Suite—an 800-square-foot master bedroom located on the top floor. In total, the Mansion comfortably accommodates up to 14 guests.

  • The Carriage House

    The Carriage House is a hotel-style building featuring six master bedrooms, including the spacious Carriage Suite. The Carriage Suite offers 1,000 square feet of comfort, with two king beds, a queen pull-out sofa, and two separate rooms.

    Each bedroom in the Carriage House includes its own master bathroom with both a shower and a tub. Every room has a private entrance and is completely separate from the others, ensuring privacy for all guests.

  • The Guest Lodge

    The Guest Lodge features three master bedrooms and three master bathrooms, offering plenty of space and comfort. Inside, guests will find a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a welcoming dining area, and convenient in-home laundry.

    Step outside to enjoy a private deck and patio complete with a relaxing jacuzzi — the perfect spot to unwind and take in the surroundings.

    Only two blocks from the property, the Village offers an abundance of restaurants, shopping, and nightlife.

  • Trails

    The Towne Trail starts right outside the main gate and hundreds of miles of hiking and biking can be reached from the property.

  • Marina

    The Pine Knot Marina is approximately a ½ mile down the road. There you can rent boats, kayak, paddleboard, fish, or take a tour of the lake.

  • Skiing and Snowboarding

    Snow Summit is a five-minute drive from the property. In the summer, you can ride your bike down the Towne Trail to access the resort.

  • Family Fun

    With 2.5 acres as your backyard, there is plenty of room for outdoor fun. The property has a hot tub, fire pits, a playground, and even a 60-foot slide!
